Out on the grass

Last week I took Aubriella out to play on the grass. She has been out there a few times, but this time she was really in to checking the grass out...
So much so that she face planted into it and the grass left little cuts all over her face! Poor thing looked like she had been in a fight. I felt SO bad, but she didn't
even seem to care!

I ended up heading back inside where it is safer! Haha! It is so hard already as a parent wanting to keep your child safe, but wanting her to learn and explore. Thankfully we haven't had any serious injuries, but every little face plant, or topple over onto something hard makes me feel bad for her. In a split second she's gotten a paper cut , bump on her head, almost fell off the bed (no excuse for that one!) and so many other things. I know this is just the beginning of her falls, but I know when she hurts, I'll hurt. Today in my Bible Study I read about sonship (and daughtership!) to God. Being a parent now is helping me grasp a little more of what it means to be a Child of God, and I'm starting to see a little more of his heart for me. It is humbling to say the least!
