Three years ago today I met the man of my dreams.
I made him laugh. I even made him nervous. And I even made him think "wow, she's tall."
Three years ago today I left the office and didn't know if I'd ever see the man again, and I really dind't think twice.
Three years from that day I am in awe of what God has done. I got to know that man, and later fell in love.
Three years? Seriously?! It seems like forever! I can't even picture what my life was like before Jose. If someone would have told me that day three years ago that the man across the table from me would be my husband I would have laughed. I actually did that night when a friend's mom asked if I met any "potentials" at my first day at work. And I would have laughed until pee leaked out if they would have said I'd be married to the man across the table from me in only a year in a half. I don't know how it happened. Really I'm still shocked. Because I always claimed to have a time frame and requirements, and he wasn't it. But God worked it out. And three years later, May 1, 2009 I am AMAZED at what has happened in our lives.
There are so many things that could have changed the outcome of that day three years ago. So many things that almost prevented either of us from taking this job, from working in the same office, from carpooling, and even liking each other. But today, 1095 days later , I am married to the man of my dreams. Thank you Jesus!
I love you Jose!

Danica
We took a million pictures this past week at Eddie's birthday dinner and the twins 1st birthday party. I'll work on getting some more pictures up, but for now here is Danica Jose's cousins baby.
I'm a litle biased, but she is the cutest thing ever. She is perfecting her "cheese" and makes the funny face.

Things to do on the Central Coast?
I LOOOOVE the Central Coast, and I know there are plenty of things to do here. The problem is I have a hard time remembering all the things this area has to offer. A good friend from my time in Colorado is coming to visit- YEAH! She and two other friends are coming to California for the first time and are spendng 2 whole days with me. They for sure want to go to the beach (pray for warm weather!), and aside from that are willing to do and try anything. Any one have suggestions? There was talk of wine tasting- do you know specific wineries with free (or cheap) tastings? Please leave me a comment and help me out!

Home improvements
Baby Ava
One of the few perks of working for the county is the out of county foster and group home visits. Most people hate it, but Jose and I love the chance to get away one weekend- especially when it includes Vista! We had one kid to see this month, and not only did he live in the same small city as my best friend Amanda, he lived in the same apartment complex. Not only was it a surprise to find out on the way there that it was the same complex, it happens to be the apartment across from Matt and Amanda! So basically we got a hotel, car, and gas paid for to visit the House's and Dugans. We were so happy to meet Baby Ava Dugan (lovingly referred to as Shotgun by Jose)! The only bad thing about the weekend was about 30 minutes into our drive I gasped (Jose almost crashed)when I realized we had forgotten to grab our camera and Ava's gift! She is beautiful, with perfect features and I didn't get a single picture! Congrats Amy and Joey, you'll get your gift soon!
Oh and in other news, after Jose watched the Matt, Amanda, Stewert and Patty play soccer he decided he had to start playing arena soccer. He decided just in time because the league starts next Monday!

Been Awhile
I let myself get way too behind with blogging. I kept thinking there wasn't anything new to write about, but now looking back there is way too much!
I never got around to writing about Easter. Basically it was a great day! It was extra special because this year Jose's family came over to my parent's house for brunch. Definitely solved the two family back and forth shuffling. We couldn't be more blessed to have families that get along so well!

Speaking of families, I seriously swell with pride when I think about all the kids in our life. My little brother Jasen is so talented (in my humble opinion) with musical abilities and it is so cute to see him and his band "The Decline" practice. They even recently played acoustic outside Albertsons. They made $30 bucks in tips before they were kicked out.

And though we can take no credit, I am constantly bragging about how smart Jose's
2nd cousin Danica is. She is almost 1 1/2 and talks more than any other one year old I've met. I love when she calls me "Maween." We were so excited that her parents asked us to be godparents. It must be obvious to them how much we love their girls!
On Friday, I hosted my first Uppercase Living party. Our niece Savannah and cousin Jenika came over early to help me make cookies and brownies. I had so much fun talking to them and watching them interact! They were so goofy and cute together and had me laughing so much. I love these girls!
One of the perks of marrying Jose was the instant nieces and nephew! We broke the law the other night and let Eddie drive through the vacant new home development. I was actually impressed with his driving skills, and wasn't too scared when he started speeding down the straight away (seriously felt like a roller coaster....shh don't tell Emma ;-). I still laugh when I think of Adri saying "We're running out of road!"

Uppercase Living
I know you have all heard that I am "selling" Uppercase living- the awesome vinyl decals to easily decorate your home ;-). The truth is, I haven't sold at all- but that is changing! I have a friend who just placed an order and booked a party. That is exciting and scary at the same time because I don't yet know what I'm doing! So... I'd like to have a "practice" party with all of you who love me and (hopefully) won't judge me!
