I never got around to writing about Easter. Basically it was a great day! It was extra special because this year Jose's family came over to my parent's house for brunch. Definitely solved the two family back and forth shuffling. We couldn't be more blessed to have families that get along so well!
Speaking of families, I seriously swell with pride when I think about all the kids in our life. My little brother Jasen is so talented (in my humble opinion) with musical abilities and it is so cute to see him and his band "The Decline" practice. They even recently played acoustic outside Albertsons. They made $30 bucks in tips before they were kicked out.
And though we can take no credit, I am constantly bragging about how smart Jose's
2nd cousin Danica is. She is almost 1 1/2 and talks more than any other one year old I've met. I love when she calls me "Maween." We were so excited that her parents asked us to be godparents. It must be obvious to them how much we love their girls!
On Friday, I hosted my first Uppercase Living party. Our niece Savannah and cousin Jenika came over early to help me make cookies and brownies. I had so much fun talking to them and watching them interact! They were so goofy and cute together and had me laughing so much. I love these girls!
One of the perks of marrying Jose was the instant nieces and nephew! We broke the law the other night and let Eddie drive through the vacant new home development. I was actually impressed with his driving skills, and wasn't too scared when he started speeding down the straight away (seriously felt like a roller coaster....shh don't tell Emma ;-). I still laugh when I think of Adri saying "We're running out of road!"
