One of the few perks of working for the county is the out of county foster and group home visits. Most people hate it, but Jose and I love the chance to get away one weekend- especially when it includes Vista! We had one kid to see this month, and not only did he live in the same small city as my best friend Amanda, he lived in the same apartment complex. Not only was it a surprise to find out on the way there that it was the same complex, it happens to be the apartment across from Matt and Amanda! So basically we got a hotel, car, and gas paid for to visit the House's and Dugans. We were so happy to meet Baby Ava Dugan (lovingly referred to as Shotgun by Jose)! The only bad thing about the weekend was about 30 minutes into our drive I gasped (Jose almost crashed)when I realized we had forgotten to grab our camera and Ava's gift! She is beautiful, with perfect features and I didn't get a single picture! Congrats Amy and Joey, you'll get your gift soon!
Oh and in other news, after Jose watched the Matt, Amanda, Stewert and Patty play soccer he decided he had to start playing arena soccer. He decided just in time because the league starts next Monday!
