Baby G

This is what Baby G (our nickname for our baby. Jose thinks it stands for Baby Genius, but in my head it is Baby Girl) should look like right now! Even though he or she is teeny tiny it is amazing to me how fast they develop!

Beyond excited

To use the words of future auntie Stephanie, the best way to sum up how we are feeling is "beyond excited!" I seriously can't stop smiling. And it's not just me either. Jose has told everyone he knows, my brother Jasen said he couldn't concentrate in class, my mom has already bought us baby clothes (of course all proclaiming "I Love Grandma and Grandpa"), maternity clothes for me, and even got a bassinet and crib for the nursery at her house!

And though we are only 6 weeks pregnant (34 to go!) we could not keep this excitement to ourselves! A couple of people have said "You must be at least 3 months if you are telling us" and while I understand the reasoning behind waiting to tell, Jose and I had decided before ever being pregnant that we couldn't keep the news to ourselves. Our baby is already bringing us soooo much joy that we had to share it with others! You see, over the past year I have read many blogs about parents who learn they are carrying terminally ill babies. What these mom's taught me is that every day with your baby is a gift and every day should be treasured and appreciated. We'vc put our trust in God that his will for our Baby will happen and we are choosing to not live in fear.

With that said I am anxiously and a little bit nervously waiting for our first appointment June 1st! Since I have been feeling great (though I do feel different, I just can't explain it) I am waiting for that doctor's appointment to make it feel more real. I'd even welcome a little bit of morning sickness as my introduction to mommyhood. Apparently week six is when morning sickness can start so we'll see what I say next week!

Our baby already has a heart beating! Is that incredible or what?!? And he or she will grow this week from the size of a lentil to a chickpea! Grow baby, Grow!

First comes love, then comes marriage...

First came

Then came
Now comes ....

(Wait, what? Let's try this again!)Which leads to this...(I think the look of shock was from realizing he is touching my pee, not that he hasn't been waiting for this- just look at his shirt which he was wearing roughly 30 seconds after the results came in)

And this...

And eventually this...
We are so happy and don't know how we are going to wait 35 more weeks to meet our little one!
My dad says we have to much time on our hands, but look what we figured out...

May 25, 2007 Jose proposed and we were calling everyone announcing our engagement
May 25, 2009 we announce that baby is on the way- 2 years from the day!

May 24th, 2009 was the day we found out we were having a baby and our 1 1/2 year anniversary

January 25th is our due date and a year from Move in Day to our home.

Perfect timing or what?!

Want them!

I have some recent Uppercase living customer orders that I can't wait to share (and even a few of my own personal). But in the meantime, these are the expressions that I am drooling over. I want them! I don't know where I'd put them, but I want them! Unfortunately, while I generally think UCL expressions are a reasonable/affordable decorating solution, these flowers are slightly overpriced. So I'm saving my pennies, and will get them eventually.
