And though we are only 6 weeks pregnant (34 to go!) we could not keep this excitement to ourselves! A couple of people have said "You must be at least 3 months if you are telling us" and while I understand the reasoning behind waiting to tell, Jose and I had decided before ever being pregnant that we couldn't keep the news to ourselves. Our baby is already bringing us soooo much joy that we had to share it with others! You see, over the past year I have read many blogs about parents who learn they are carrying terminally ill babies. What these mom's taught me is that every day with your baby is a gift and every day should be treasured and appreciated. We'vc put our trust in God that his will for our Baby will happen and we are choosing to not live in fear.
With that said I am anxiously and a little bit nervously waiting for our first appointment June 1st! Since I have been feeling great (though I do feel different, I just can't explain it) I am waiting for that doctor's appointment to make it feel more real. I'd even welcome a little bit of morning sickness as my introduction to mommyhood. Apparently week six is when morning sickness can start so we'll see what I say next week!
Our baby already has a heart beating! Is that incredible or what?!? And he or she will grow this week from the size of a lentil to a chickpea! Grow baby, Grow!

So congrats!
I am starting to lose track of friends who are pregnant - I'm up to 7 that I can count right now all due within a few months of eachother. Oh my goodness!
Jose and Marlene- I completely agree with your willingness and excitement to share your pregnancy with everyone, even this early on! Paul and I feel the same way. Everyday you are pregnant is a precious day in parenthood and every beautiful baby, whether 6 weeks in utero or 6 months old, is a child of God and should be celebrated!
