Yesterday, June 1st, we had our first doctor's appointment! I'm definitely pregnant (not that I doubted I was), but we were surprised to find out we are not as far as we thought! Instead of being over 6 weeks, I'm probably closer to 5 weeks. Because a 5 week old baby is only the size of a poppy seed (can you believe in one week it goes from a poppy seed to a lentil to a blueberry?!) there wasn't much to see. Oh well, just means we get to go back in 2 more weeks and see our baby again!
After our appointment we had fun browsing at Johnsons in SLO and shopping at Carters in Pismo! We could not find a single thing (ok maybe one little ducky outfit) that was neutral, so instead we each picked out our favorite warm fuzzy outfit. I of course choose a girly girl ballerina outfit (though who am I kidding. Any child with my genes is not destined to be a dancer!), and Jose picked a blue and brown football outfit (more likely).
I know, I know. What are we doing wasting money on outfits that our baby won't wear? Well with all the friends we know that are pregnant we know the outfit can be given away and put to good use! Just at our church there are 7 other pregnant ladies!
