16 weeks

I'm a little behind on this post! The 16th week was pretty uneventful. I had a doctor's appointment and we heard the heartbeat again! We had borrowed Jose's cousin's fetal heart monitor and had enjoyed listening to what we thought was the baby's heartbeat. I got a little worried because it seemed fast but not as fast as it should be (130-160 beats per minute). Turns out we had to be listening to my heartbeat- which is so weird that we could hear it below my belly button- because at the doctor's appt it was soooo much faster than we had been hearing!

The best news of this week was we scheduled our "Big Ultrasound" appointment! On August 24th we get to see our little baby again and find out (hopefully!) if it is a boy or girl! We are going at 17 1/2 weeks which is pretty early, but the diagnostic person said a few days before 18 weeks will be fine! YEAH!!! The suspense is killing us!
