Random act of kindness

I am so behind blogging! I need to post pictures from our two lake trips, and update you on our house situation... but that will come later.

I had to write a story about what happened this morning. After a week of vacationing it has been REALLY hard getting up for work. Plus work has not been very welcoming as I came back to a crisis. Anyway, on the way to work Jose and I were both really tired because we woke up to late to make coffee. Jose offered to drop me off at work and go get Starbucks for us. We have been trying to cut back on coffee to save money, but it sounded so good I gave in! (sidenote: I heard on ESPN radio that with the crumbling economy the first three things to get cut out of a budget is Starbucks, vacations, and sporting events. So far we haven't had to cut them out completely). Well, Jose comes back with my coffee and told me the coffee was free! Some lady who was sitting with her legs crossed and a smile on her face essentially opened a tab for anyone coming in for coffee! How cool is that? Jose said when he thanked her she just smiled. I wonder what her motive was, or what prompted her to do this random act of kindness. All I know is maybe I should continue the chain of good deeds today--and enjoy my coffee!
