June gloom??

I don't think I will ever get used to June gloom. It is summer for crying out loud, so why am I still wearing pants and a sweater? Even though I should be used to the chill and fog, everyone will agree that the rainy weather we had was way out of Central Coast character. I don't think I can remember rain in June ever!

Needless to say I was pretty bummed to wake up to COLD rainy weather the morning of the Rodeo parade. I haven't been in years, but we were so excited for Aubriella to go. Despite the weather we headed out anyway knowing we could come home whenever we needed. We were lucky that Emma works at PB & Assoc. so we set up camp on their grass and enjoyed their coffee and doughnuts.

Aubriella's favorite cousins joined us, and we made the most of the freezing weather huddled under blankets. I felt so bad for the little kids in the parade wearing shorts or leotards. On top of them freezing, there were very few spectators. The streets that are normally packed, were barely dotted with small groups of people.

Aubri sat in my lap for nearly 2 hours bundled up and enjoying the festivities. That made it totally worth it!
