It was so exciting to realize I have a holiday celebrating me! I am so grateful for Aubriella and am so lucky to be her mommy!
I got to admit, it is a hard balance deciding how much the day is now about me , and how much it is still about my mom (and Jose's mom!). It wasn't without a lot of thought (and a little guilt) that I decided to spend the afternoon how I wanted. Now that we are pastors (just realized I haven't blogged about that yet!), we have to close up the church once a month so by the time we left church all I wanted to do was go home. After a quick stop at Trader Joes to pick up all the yummy things I've been wanting to try we had a great lunch at home and rested!
Later we went to my mom's house, and then Jose's mom came to our house!
