Terrible, Horrible, No good, very bad day

Actually it isn't that bad, but I love exaggerating and wanted to use the line from a kids book I used to like.

Anyway, we aren't getting the keys to our new home tomorrow...there is a hold up with escrow (they are waiting on the HOA paperwork. You kidding me? Something that minor?!). The new projected closing date is next Thursday or Friday. If I didn't have a choice, I would say I can't wait another day. I mean there is no room in our tiny place, I cleaned the stove and oven 'til it shines, and we threw away all our food. That means eating out for a week!

You always know there is a possibility that escrow won't close on time, but everything was going perfect, and we were told repeatedly that it would close on time, so imagine our surprise two days before Moving Day! Ugh.

Oh gosh the horrors of home buying! We are in the first stages.....we got approved last night and are meeting with our realtor tomorrow evening. I hope (though I know it's possible!) we dont have as much trouble and it doesnt take us 8 months!!! It will be worth it....and dont you pay less taxes the closer to the end of the month that it closes? That may be a good thing??

I love that book! :)
Good luck with everything closing. I want everything to happen right now; the waiting is so hard!
My hubby and I are looking to buy a condo right now. We were never told what an emotional roller coaster it is! Some guy came in with a huge offer we couldn't counter and it made us so sad! Patience is a virtue...right? :)

I totally thought house hunting would be a blast... but it got old. We made 9 offers! Most houses sell for way over the asking price! Good luck to both of you!
